Grace Ramtu - Miss World Kenya 2024-2025

My name is Grace Ramtu, born on September 20, 1999. I am the youngest of seven children, with four older brothers and two sisters. My upbringing was shaped by my incredible mother – a dedicated doctor and a woman of deep faith – who raised us as a single parent.

I am proudly Digo, part of the Mijikenda community from Mombasa. My heritage is a source of strength and identity. As coastal people, the Digo have a profound connection to both the land and the sea. We honor our traditions while embracing progress, drawing from a rich history of resilience and adaptation. Known for our expertise in fishing, we possess a deep understanding of the marine environment and our culture places great value on community and togetherness.

Mombasa itself is a vibrant melting pot of cultures, influenced by Swahili, Arab, Indian and European traditions. As a major tourist destination, it boasts stunning attractions like Fort Jesus and breathtaking beaches with white sands, clear waters and swaying palm trees. It is also home to Kenya’s largest port, making it a crucial hub for trade and commerce – further enriching its diverse and cosmopolitan character.
