Franklyne Herbert Asoyo was crowned the new Mr World Kenya 2019/2020 after trouncing several models who were eying the crown.
The 2019 edition of Mr and Miss World Kenya was held at Two Rivers Mall on Saturday October 5th. Franklyne Asoyo and Wavinya Maria emerged as the winners in male and female categories of the pageant.
Franklyne has been a model since his days in campus, he was a student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) where he graduated with a Second Class Upper Division in Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Franklyne first major achievement in modeling came while he was still a student at JKUAT, he contested for Mr. JKUAT 2018 and won.
And surprisingly Franklyne contested Mr World Kenya pageant and won. He will now represent Kenya in Mr World pageant next year where he will compete with models from across the world.
Even though the Mr World Kenyan 2019/2020 has been winning big when it comes to modeling, he equally performed exceptionally well in school.
Franklyne has always been a straight A student, the Kapsabet Boys High School alumnus scored A plain (83 points) when he sat for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCPE) in 2012.
His Beauty with a purpose project revolves around the loss of his Dad who succumbed to Metastatic breast cancer in 2017. It is for this reason that he decided to contest for Mr. World Kenya in the hope that it will provide a platform for him to push his ‘Fight against cancer’ agenda which revolves around 4 pillars:
- Better primary education on the disease.
- Better access to palliative care.
- Better awareness programs across the country.
- Implementation of regular screening programs across the country.
